This chilling photo was taken on May 28, 2006 at Newcastle Keep in the U.K. This 12th century castle is the oldest castle in the country & has been the subject of many ghost stories for years.
On May 28th during a charity event, Mark Winter of Blythe Northumberland snapped this picture of the corridors that overlook the great hall. It wasn`t til this photo was viewed on a laptop computer that he made a chilling discovery of a black mass about four feet high in the corridor. No one was anywhere near the corridor when the picture was taken.
Curator Paul McDonald is now going through tons of paperwork to see if anything happened in the galleries during the past 10.000 years that might explain this.
We apologize for the poor quality of this picture, but this was the best we could do with what we had to work with.
