Before conducting your own ghost hunt we recommend reading `
What Is A Ghost?`, so you understand the different types of ghostly experiences that may occur. Ghosts are nothing to take lightly or disrespect, & I strongly recommend not getting them on your bad side. The abilities of some entities may greatly exceed what many humans give them credit for.
Here`s a few things that ghosts may be capable of;
Ghosts can
1. Hurt you (rare, but possible).
2. Move at the speed of sound.
3. Mess with your equipment.
4. Speak to you through thought.
5. Follow you home.
It`s best to find a location that is known for paranormal activity, whether it be a house, cemetery etc. REMEMBER THAT CEMETERIES ARE HALLOWED GROUND & ALWAYS SHOW GREAT RESPECT!
1. Always get permission from property owners.
2. Never disrespect the property. Ghosts can get angry & so do property owners.
3. No alcohol or mind altering drugs. You need to be alert & have the ability to exercise good judgement.
4. No smoking.
5. Bring a first aid kit.
6. Wait at least 15 minutes before snapping pictures. The ghosts have to get used to you being there. You`ll have better results if you wait a bit.
7. When taking pictures or video, do not vision landmarks as landmarks (houses, trees, etc.), because the ghosts do not. Instead, look for places they may be found. This rule is open to personal interpretation.
8. Occasionally snap pictures behind your back, they may be following you. Always take pictures even if you don`t see anything. Cameras often pick up things that the naked eye doesn`t see.
9. Clear your thoughts & trust your instincts.
10. Refrain from taking pictures of reflective surfaces.
11. Use fresh batteries for equipment & always carry extras.
12. Never go alone! Your safer in a group. 2 will suffice, but 4 is recommended.
13. Do not show fear, it may be used against you (easier said than done).
14. Do not try to find ghosts, or you will not find them. They will be watching you & will be observing you the whole time. Act like you don`t believe they are there or your equipment is faulty. You`ll probably get better results.
15. Be open minded. The minute you say "that`s not possible" YOUR DONE!
16. Don`t put yourself in a dangerous situation. Know your surroundings & carry something to defend yourself with (pepper spray, stun gun, etc.) This isn`t to protect you from the ghosts, it`s meant for would be muggers, rapists, & wild animals. Always know your surroundings, & I recommend going to the location during the daylight first so you know the terrain. Don`t go in to an area known for crime, it`s just not worth it.
