I have here, an image I took only this Sunday, 01-04-04, on 35mm film. It is a black and white exposure, of a railroad trestle, over a river. I have been doing some black and white exposures around the area more as a hobby than anything. Some of the older architecture in this area looks really good in black and white, I think.
In this particular instance, I simply pulled up on the road bridge, walked down it a ways until the view looked about right, set up the shot, clicked the shutter and was on my way.
I would like to direct your attention to the railroad tressel, just right of center. That dark human shaped object was NOT in the shot when I composed it (close-up below, full image above). I am very meticulous about things like that. It is a high res scan, and I have the negative as well. I inspected the negative, and sure enough, there it is, so it is not from processing. I do not know how or have the means to doctor negatives, so that is out. I disassembled the camera, and checked it, but as this does not appear in the adjacent pictures I already knew that was out too. I returned to that very spot today, to visually check the area for the figure. There is nothing there.
I am going to investigate and find out if perhaps there was someone killed on that tressel, or if something else might have happened. Just thought I would share it with. you.

Take a closer look at this photo, because while examining this photo I spotted something that no one else may have. Look directly above the shadow image, do you see what appears to be a woman with shoulder length dark hair, wearing a white shirt? Perhaps it`s just the trees playing tricks, but it`s got me wondering. I wish I could reach Jeffrey & bring it to his attention.
