Dear ?,

Thank you for visiting & contacting GhostHauntings.org.
In reponse to your question. You didn`t mention your daughter`s age, but I assume she was a very young child at the time. Children aged eleven & younger are far more likely to see and experience ghosts & paranormal occurrences than older people, because their minds are still fresh and impressionable.

As you grow older and adapt to the senses & teachings of the physical world, your brain becomes "trained" to recognize what you see physically & tends to filter out the transparent dimensions that co-exist with the physical world. Some people will retain these abilities as they get older, but many do not.

That is why many young children often talk about having imaginary friends. In some cases it`s just their imagination, but in many cases it`s believed to be more than just imagination.
Although it is rare, there have been cases over the years in which people will be physically assaulted by spirits & will show bruises & marks from it. There is no concrete evidence to support the existence of Hell or demons, but their are malevolent spirits out there.

Many people that lived a dubious lifestyle while here on earth will continue to be that way when they arrive in the spirit world. They can change if they choose too, but some spirits don`t.
A common complaint by people is to feel a weighted feeling holding them down in bed which they believe it to be a spirit or ghost. But there is a condition called "sleep paralysis" that many people experience & can be mistaken as a spirit holding them down.
Basically this is when you sleep, your body can sometimes become immobile & when you wake up, your mind awakens before the nerves & muscles in your body do. Their mind will sometimes still be experiencing artifacts from their dream state & can be mistaken for an unknown force keeping them down.

My advice on this issue is not to dismiss those incidents as just her imagination right away.
It`s important to understand that there are demensions out there that co-exist with ours & the possibility of your daughter seeing this is very real.
By researching these experiences & talking with your daughter you can learn more about the situation & reach a conclusion. Sometimes telling a child that it`s all in their head & not real, can have counter productive consequences, because it may cause that person & others to mistakenly assume that they may have some sort of psychological imbalance.

I hope this information helps & I recommend reading "What Is A Ghost?", & "Cleansing Your Home Of Unwanted Ghosts", which is located on the web site. Please be sure and read "My Theory" which accompanies the "Cleansing" page, because I believe it raises a very valid point.

Blessed be, sincerely,
Blair.
